The terms we work under
Short, because the deal is short: a flat diagnostic, a written estimate, and no work started before you have read it.

1. Who we are and what we service
Ironwood Appliance Service is an independent appliance repair company operating from Mandarin, Jacksonville, FL. We service Viking residential appliances and nothing else. If the appliance is another make we are not the right shop, and we will say so before a visit is booked rather than after we arrive.
We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Viking or its parent company. Nothing on this site, on the phone or on an invoice is to be read as a manufacturer appointment of any kind. The Viking name is used here only to identify the appliances we work on.
2. Booking and coverage
Visits are booked by phone during working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm; Saturday, 9:00am – 4:00pm. Closed Sunday. Calls left after hours are returned the next working morning. We do not run an overnight or emergency service and we make no claim to one. We work a 40-mile radius of Mandarin; outside it we will tell you rather than take the booking.
3. The diagnostic fee
$129 flat, payable for the visit whether or not you go ahead with the repair. It covers the trip, the time to move the appliance where it needs moving and the diagnosis itself. If you approve the repair, the $129 is credited toward it.
4. Estimates
You get a written estimate before anything is opened up or ordered. The estimate names the fault, the part and the price. Work begins only when you have approved it. If the appliance is opened up and the diagnosis changes, work stops and you get a revised estimate before it resumes — not a larger invoice at the end.
5. Access and site conditions
Someone eighteen or older needs to be present, and the appliance needs to be reachable: shut-offs accessible, the run clear enough to pull a heavy appliance out, and pets somewhere else. Where a floor, a cabinet opening or a circuit is not right for the appliance we will record that in writing on the estimate. We do not carry out structural, cabinetry, plumbing or electrical alterations.
6. Parts
Genuine OEM parts only. Some parts for older equipment are ordered rather than stocked and the lead time is whatever the supply chain says it is; we quote the date we are given and tell you when it moves. Special-order parts are non-returnable once fitted.
7. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the visit. An invoice lists the diagnostic, the part and the labour separately, so the credited $129 is visible on the document rather than buried in a total.
8. Warranty
90 days on labour, 365 days on parts, genuine OEM parts only. The full terms, including what falls outside them, are on the warranty page. That warranty is given by us as an independent company. It is not a manufacturer warranty and does not extend or alter one.
9. Limits
Our liability for any single visit is limited to the amount paid for that visit. We are not responsible for loss of food, loss of use, or consequential loss, and we do not accept responsibility for a pre-existing condition recorded on the estimate. Nothing here removes a right you have under Florida law that cannot be removed by agreement.
10. Changes
These terms may be revised. The version that applies to your job is the one in force on the day the visit is booked, and the date below says which that is.
